Who is Angel Leigh McCoy?
Well hello. I’m one lucky s.o.b., that’s who I am. I’ve spent my entire adulthood so far doing what I love: writing. I’ve worked on amazing creative projects like White Wolf’s WORLD OF DARKNESS (Mage, Vampire, Changeling, etc.) and award-winning AAA video games such as CONTROL and GUILD WARS 2. I’ve published over two dozen short stories in some pretty prestigious places.
And now, I’m bringing all that storytelling experience to bear on two of my own projects: The Wyrdwood Project and The Dire Multiverse. I hope you explore them both and that they entertain the heck out of you. There are more deets at my author website, but the fun stuff is here in Wyrdwood. So hurry back!
What is this project?
Angel Leigh McCoy is creating an expanding collection of novels, novelettes, and short stories all connected by one epic body of lore known collectively as “The Wyrdwood Project.”
The stories are:
- for adults
- paranormal suspense
- a new mythology for the 21st century
What is Wyrdwood?
Wyrdwood Township nestles on the Oregon coastline and serves as a hub and safe haven for beings of the magickal variety, those who must hide their true nature from Normals for fear of prejudice and persecution. The world’s mythologies were never fiction. The residents of Wyrdwood include a diverse population of mixed-race descendants of ancient species such as nature spirits, elemental beings, demi-gods, and legendary heroes from world mythology.
What are the books about?
Magick touches everyone’s life, from the purebloods to those of mixed race to normal humans. It’s hard when you can’t tell anyone who–or what–you are. These books explore the history and future of Wyrdwood through the stories of its residents.
For the Normals Reading This
This body of work is, of course, fiction. The names, characters, places, and incidents are products of the writer’s imagination or have been used fictitiously and are not to be construed as real. Any resemblance to persons living or dead, actual events, locales, or organizations is entirely coincidental. Honest.
